The Flipkart SNAFU

I placed an order on Flipkart for a refrigerator on the 29th of January, 2026. It was to be delivered in 2 days, followed by an installation the next day. 3 day affair.

However, it finally got delivered on 7th of February, 2026, followed by installation on 9th February, 2026 - more than a week after due date. In the meantime, I tweeted numerous times, tagging stakeholders - to no avail. I spoke over the helpline. She, in turn, connected me to the delivery agent. The order was being fulfilled by an agency called KLPLWORLDRetail. A search online revealed that it is a repeat offender. He pleaded helplessness. Apparently they don't have a vehicle big enough to deliver the refrigerator to my place. A booking on Porter would have resolved the matter in 30 minutes, but Flipkart would rather dishonour commitment than do the needful required to fulfil it.

As a result, folks at home cancelled other commitments multiple times to ensure availability at home, on the days it had falsely notified delivery.

Unprofessionalism-personified Flipkart.

Godspeed
