Great Indian Scientist Dr. Vikram Sarabhai: A Documentary [Weekend viewing]

An interesting documentary made on the life and works of one of the pioneers of Indian Science, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. Thanks to his untiring efforts, India's Space research programme has been able to attain a level of competency & proficiency that makes countries around the world seek out our partnership in their own programs.

Not only is his contribution in building up India's Scientific and Technological base immense, but also his endeavor to nurture & develop India's human capital & his interest in art & humanities has seen some fine institutes in India being set up to work towards these goals.

Little slow a pace the documentary has, but a nice & engaging one nevertheless.

Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai

Wish more such reports and documentaries are made about the many other other Scientists and Technologists who have strived & continue to strive to help realize the dream of recognition as a technologically advanced, knowledge powerhouse nation called India.

Godspeed
