When Even The Founding Father Of pakistan's Nuclear Dream Couldn't Stop Himself From Praising His Indian Counterpart

Subsequent DNA tests, however, revealed lack of Islamic genes in him, as defined in pakistan. Hence, recognition for fathering the project was awarded to a different, Sharia-compliant Halaal individual, whom the Time magazine called the 'Merchant of Menace'.

In this video of an interview he gave in the late 1980s, Nobel Laureate, Dr. Abdus Salam, is heard speaking in appreciation of Dr. Homi Bhabha, who was appointed President of the first ever United Nations Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, held in 1955 in Geneva, Switzerland. This appointment, despite India then being a minnow in the field of Nuclear Energy, itself speaks volumes about the man & his brilliance. Here, Dr. Salam is seen praising Dr. Bhabha for his foresight in broaching the topic of Nuclear Fusion in his address at the Conference. Nuclear Fusion, was then considered to be the sole preserve of the "established Nuclear Powers", not to be dealt with by newer entrants. His speech was essentially an act of showing the middle finger & tearing down the barrier to this self-proclaimed elitism.

The full interview can be viewed here. Interestingly not once in the interview does he mention Abdul Qadeer Khan, hailed by the country's influential Islamists as the 'Father of pakistan's Nuclear program'. Funny!

If one wants to get a sense of Dr. Salam's achievements, without being bothered with details, one need only know that an industrialised nation like Italy is home to a leading institution, named after this citizen of pakistan, a country otherwise, not associated with any Academic niceties. Additionally, pakistan itself has no involvement with the institution, yet the name. However, in compliance with the beliefs of its Petro-dollar funded intolerant Wahhabi Saudi benefactors, pakistan declared the very Sect of Islam Dr. Salam belonged to, as Non-Muslim. Thereafter in keeping with the persecution of Ahmadi Muslims in pakistan, authorities began downplaying his role, re-assigning credits to others, & stood mute witness to the desecration of his grave, that remains vandalised to this day.

Godspeed
