Took these photographs while returning home this week. At the final leg of the flight, where the Arabian Sea ceases, to usher in the Mumbai skyline. Was exhausted & slept through the entire leg, having departed 3 days ago from site, changed 3 flights & still had around 3 hours of journey by road to reach home. Inter-spread were 12 hours of layover. Luckily, announcements to make seat upright & fasten the seat belts, as the pilot was to commence descent woke me up & I was greeted by this sight.
One earlier occasions, the flight I boarded from here would bring me to Mumbai at dawn. However, with a meeting scheduled till the last evening of the day of departure, I had to travel by this flight. Glad that it transpired this way.
In both of the international flights, the adjacent 2 seats fortunately stayed empty. This allowed me to stretch horizontally. Pro Tip: Do a web check-in & select seats towards the rear of the aircraft. This increases the likelihood of getting the whole row of seats to yourself, if the flight is not fully booked. At the check-in counter, Airlines allocate seats to passengers, starting from the front of craft.
Once, earlier, while flying Ethiopian Airlines, I asked the stewardess, if I could have an additional meal, as I had skipped lunch to reach the airport in the nick of time. Very generously she brought me another food tray. Much grateful.
Godspeed
