Boeing Sends India Its Second P-8I Naval Reconnaissance Aircraft

Bolstering Naval surveillance capabilities, replacing/complementing Soviet specimens.

The Navy is reported to have received the second of its twelve P-8I aircrafts, which it is purchasing from Boeing.

"With two aircraft at Naval Station Rajali now, the Indian Navy will get a good feel for the P-8I's interoperability with other aircraft," said Leland Wight, Boeing P-8I program manager. "Acceptance trials on the first aircraft are progressing well and its availability for testing has been excellent, in large part due to Boeing’s worldwide 737 support capabilities."

Interestingly the tail number in the accompanying picture says 'IN 320', Boeing delivering 'IN321' first to India. Goes on to the desktop as a Wallpaper.
