The Sevmash Shipyard was responsible for refurbishing the warship, turning an Aircraft-carrying Cruiser [Admiral Gorshkov] into a conventional Aircraft Carrier [INS Vikramaditya]. If one visits the co-ordinates [64.58, 39.8091] using Google Earth, & uses its 'Historical Imagery' feature, one can witness the warship being turned from the former into the latter. The latest satellite imagery in the software is dated the 21st of August 2011.
While the Russians were at the job, a team of officers of the Indian Navy maintained constant presence at the yard, monitoring the progress. As part of their engagement with their counterparts, they took part in this friendly football match played on an ice covered ground.
